Kerenor was founded in Jerusalem in 1983 by Eitan Fried.

Since then, Kerenor acted as a camera repair lab and store. providing solutions and equipment for professional photographers, amateur photographers, and photography enthusiasts.

During his service in the Israeli Air Force, Eitan specialized in electro-optics. as well as airborne photography equipment of all kinds.

Following his release from the IDF, Eitan relocated to Johannesburg, South Africa. where he specialized at the Minolta Center in Africa. During those two years, Eitan specialized and interacted with other international photography companies. such as ROLLEI, CANON, PENTAX, OLYMPUS, and HASSELBLATT. During the last 40 years, Kerenor has kept up-to-date with all the latest changes in technology. particularly the transformation from film equipment to digital photography.
